Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Named 'Turn Of The Century' Masonic "Knights Templars - York Rite" Ceremonial K.T. Mason Sword with Scabbard and Ornate Signed Etched Blade, Circa 1900. This is a Rare Masonic Sword with With Ebony Wood Handle with Inlaid Silver Cross, and Knights Head Pommel. It has a Unique Counter Guard with "Ornate Medieval Knights Head Bust" in the Center. This has a Chrome Plated Scabbard with Applied Enameled Brass Metal Trim, Including a "Cross and Crown", which Represents the York Rite of Free Masonry, and 'K.T.' for Knights Templar.The Blade is Signed By The Maker "The MC Lilley & Co. Columbus Ohio", and Etched with the Former Owners name "Harry H Ross", and Has Ornate Etched Masonic Designs Including Medieval Knights, and a 'Momemto Mori' Skull and Crossbones, Which Translates to "Remember You Will Die". The Sword measures approx. 36" Long with the Scabbard. The Sword itself measures approx. 35 1/8" Long with a 28" Blade, Overall Good Original Condition As Pictured, With a Nice Aged Patina! The Scabbard has an Ornate Crusader's Cross Tip. The Sword Fits Nicely in the Scabbard, Overall Good Original Condition with Normal Wear From Age, The Blade Has Some Light Surface Rust, Click and Enlarge Photos for Details.
