Description

Brothers, these are rare and I hate to sell them but I've got too much stuff and not enough room to do it all justice!  These are dated 1921 and marked on the back corner with the logo of the Armor Bronze Company, which specialized in making heavy copper-clad decorative pieces from around 1910 to the mid-1930's, and the company shut down altogether in 1948 according to what I could find on the web.
These are very heavy and just gorgeous, done with an obvious eye towards the Egyptian mysteries of Freemasonry, especially as that was very popular at that point in time in the early twenties.  The bookends feature hand-painted trim which was factory done and the detail work is fantastic.  If you look this company up, they did everything from art glass lamps to statues to door stops to you name it - bronze-clad items were very popular in the 1920s and this New York-based company was one of the better manufacturers.
I didn't weigh them, I will try to in the coming days and post that, but they are heavy - they'll easily hold a set of Mackey's works in check and then some!  There are a few bumps on the corners, as shown, but, they are 100 years old, so, I pray I look this good when I'm 100!
These are very rare, only found one other like them on the web and they wanted 0 for a single bookend!  If you want something to be proud of and something that is classic Art Deco at its finest, then these are for you.  Bid now, you won't see another set like this.
Will ship to U.S. addresses ONLY.  Please ask questions first, all sales final, no refunds or returns, I do my best to describe things accurately.  Buyer pays for priority mail large flat rate postage.  Thanks much!
