Masonic Presentation Gavel

Very cool Masonic presentation gavel. The gavel is 8" long. Unsure what it is made from. It does not feel like wood. Maybe bakelite? It is ivory in color. The gavel is inscribed Edith Brumley-Worthy Matron-Boulevard Chapter 588 D.E.S.-1939-From Officers. There is a star on one end. The gavel is in its original box and has a blue felt bag included. The box reads F.N. Kistner Chicago Ill. The box has a water stain
