Description
Examine the photographs closely - the item pictured is the item you will receive.24 pages plus cover, which has text, photos, and advertisements on inner front and inner back cover as well, so technically 28 pages. This is the same number of pages that appear for this issue on the Colorado Historic Newspapers scan. This is the final issue of the Estes Park Trail Talk, a stapled booklet-format summer publication that was, from its inception, intended to be a 10-issue run. It was published only in July, August, and September of 1920, and did not return the following summer because the weekly Estes Park Trail had started publication by April 1921, so it was essentially made redundant. The “news” portion of Trail Talk was sandwiched between 8 pages front and back of display ads, almost all local, with lots of photographs.
Loose (unbound) Trail Talks are quite rare, and this issue is in excellent condition, with some creasing on the cover the only potential flaw. The year 2020 is the Trail Talk’s 100th anniversary, so this would make a special gift for someone turning 100 this year. It is possibly the only copy not held by an institution or part of a bound volume. Sorry, no returns, as this item is near perfect in every way, and has so mold or smoke or pet odor or other funky smells. Great gift for the holidays. I don’t ship outside of the continental U.S., nor do I ship to P.O. Boxes. Please write with any questions prior to bidding
