Description

Knights Templar Masonic Sword with Detailed Scabbard. The ricasso is marked "C.E. Ward Co.", over "New-London O.". The guard and grip are slightly loose. The etched blade has the name "Earl Edw. Jones, Jr." on it,
along with a skull and crossbones, several knights, other masonic symbols, and
scroll designs
all with gold in the background
. The blade is straight and unsharpened but the tip is sharp. The scabbard is detailed and solid, has "78"
is stamped four times on the backside of the scabbard, mounts and drag
, also "West Germany" stamped below the throat, has no dents but there is nickel loss throughout, mainly to the lower half of the scabbard. Leather washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 32 1/8" (13/16" wide x 3/16" thick), the sword alone is 38 7/8", and
overall length is 39 3/4
".
