    Antique Silver Mason Masonic Stamp Case Locket Box Unknown Object
    I recognize the Masonic symbol on this case, but do not know what the intended function was. Possibly a stamp case. It seems too thin to be a match safe, and there is no striker. Unless the jump ring went through the clasp, there is no place for a jump ring to go, like you would expect with a locket.
    It looks very much like sterling silver, and had tarnished like silver when I first got it, but is unmarked and untested.
    It measures 2.25 inches long, including the clasp. It is just under 1 inch wide, at 24 mm. The thickness is 5 mm, or a little over 1/8 inch.  The weight is 12.6 grams.
