    Description

Here is this amazing early 20th century antique solid 10 K yellow gold Masonic monogrammed match case . It weighs 16.2 grams and measures 2 1/4" x 1" . It has the Masonic compass on the front with the name" BEN " and fine engraving on both of the front and back that is gently worn and visible . It opens and closes by holding it against your finger and there's a little groove for the thumbnail to push the lever through the triangle ,It is well preserved and the sides are smooth with only one tiny ding that can be seen at the correct angle . it has a very sturdy hinge and closure and the case almost closes perfect but the lever inside that holds the matches is a little bent pushing it from the inside so it's a tiny bit off and I will leave that for the new owner to tweak on it if they desire , this is a minor detail that just needs to be explained like the proper opening and closing of the case . When opened each side has a very funky designed piece that holds the matches in and on each side there are tiny bits of solder where the match fold attaches to the case done long ago for structural integrity .  it is marked 10K on one side with the makers initial  "  F.M.C.O.  " on the other side and this is the hallmark of a known designer of antique jewelry who made specialty items for fraternal organizations class rings and items such as this antique solid gold Masonic match case . Please study the photos it is a amazing piece of Masonic memorabilia and I cannot find another even similar . Because it is so rare I am very hesitant to part with it nevertheless I will offer it now here in my eBay store  .   ...This item will be shipped priority mail immediately. Please know all items have been carefully and professionally examined and I have attempted to describe any defects or issues the item might have .  I'm very sorry but all of the ring boxes etc. are for display purposes only and not included .
